NEXUS SEQ and NSX Gate Expander - 2 JAMS
2 improv'd jams with NEXUS SEQ. The NSX Expander is hooked up so the lower knobs of the knob sets set rests, note repeat, and gate length so both CV and rhythm/gate length can all be set from one machine.

Is the hit input voltage sensitive? Does it open up more with higher voltage triggers? Or will any trigger "strike" the gate as hard ad another?
Hit is amplitude independent and will hit the gate fully. To hit it dynamically, use the CTRL input with a pulse of varying amplitude. The pulse (to emulate the HIT signal) should be about 800us in length (just a hair below 1ms) but as usual, to your ear is best :D

$800 I think you could have included a noise source with dynamic envelope/vca and its own output as a minimum to go with the single drum??? Sounds brilliant - but both an SSF Entity BD and Entity Percussion w/ such a Noise channel can be had for the same price.

@@danielprovder yeah - way more firepower buying two Entities compared to the Portal. Portal sounds amazing and I'm glad that Rabid is doing what their doing with nuance - but the prices are wacky.... and I'm a guy who doesn't mind an occasional expensive module haha. I love the Natural Gate. I could understand $600, mayyyybe $650 - but $800 for a single drum module seems like a goof. Very curious to see what psychedelic price they make up for their full drum machine haha
I've had an entity. It sounds good, but has a limited range IMO. Something about the filter and distortion gives it a very same-y sound. It works better as bass than as a versatile kick. The percussion one seems excellent, though. This seems an exceptional device, even if the price is a bit on the shafty side. They have spent a long time tuning it tbf.
@@owainwilson8425 yeah - I'm surely griping because I can't (won't) afford it and it does sound beautiful and unique. Pricing that doesn't seem to be customer-centric is just a turnoff though with how intense Eurorack already is. Fair enough if thats how they want to structure their business - but unfortunate. The hp is a bit audacious as well as the price for a single voice. They should have tucked some extra functionality in there if thats their MSRP is all I'm sayin, wouldn't have taken too much - a couple noise colors to choose from and a stripped down single Natural Gate circuit for a counter rhythm element to the main voice and I could see getting it at that price.
What kind of potentiometer/knob is allowing you to make different adjustments both on the top and bottom simultaneously? This looks so unique and sounds amazing, can’t wait!
